Love the world as your own self, then you can truly care for all things. - Lao Tzu
I have made myself a promise to live each day with meaning. Each breath of my morning yoga practice serves to set that day's intention, each thought, to reflect, and each action, to achieve. But when the world around us starts spinning (as it sometimes does), we find ourselves reaching for guidance along this path. My jewelry isn't just for looks- The Mantra Collection is designed to serve as constant talismans on life’s journey. Tibetan mantra pearls are my go-to when I need to find balance and solace within myself. Adding a hamsa or crescent moon charm to a look gives us focus to stay positive and feel protected. The flexibility to wear my mantra anywhere empowers me, centers me, and reminds me of the strength I carry within. Beautiful and subtle, these pieces have a special history and meaning that allow me to take a breath, focus my energy, and be prepared for whatever challenges await me.
The mind is everything. What you think you become. ~ Buddha
Since my first experience with Tibetan mantra pearls, working with their special charm has brought so much connection and meaning into my life. These unique pearls are featured in many of my favorite pieces as a focus for meditation, peace and protection. Each pearl begins life as a white, freshwater pearl. It is hand etched in Tibet with a mantra of enlightenment: 'Om Mani Padme Hum'. The pearl is then allowed to soak in black tea for up to 3 months, taking on its warm tone and allowing the edges of the etched characters to darken and come into focus. 'Om Mani Padme Hum' translates roughly to 'Hail the jewel in the Lotus'. It is commonly believed that one who recites this mantra or keeps it close to them will be protected from misfortune and experience an inner sense of calm. Tibetan mantra pearls have always been my meditation guide for empowerment in times of stress.
"We all wish for world peace, but world peace will never be achieved unless we first establish peace within our own minds" ~ Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
I've always believed that meaning can be found in all things great and small, and I design with this in mind. Each detail is created with intention: even adding a single sparkling gemstone can inspire movement and fluidity. Centering a necklace with a crescent moon charm both evokes the eponymous yoga pose and promotes growth, strong transitions, and the confidence of your inner goddess. Wearing a hamsa charm bracelet always makes me smile for the symbol's unifying nature- it's been used in virtually every world culture and religion as a symbol of protection and abundance. The evil eye offers a similar universality, both serving as a protective symbol and as a reminder of oneness in our global community. No matter the personal significance you find in your pieces, I believe the purpose remains the same- your jewelry can and will serve as a vessel for your intentions and a reminder to embrace life.
