Each Tibetan mantra pearl begins life as a white, freshwater pearl. It is hand etched in Tibet with a mantra of enlightenment: 'Om Mani Padme Hum'. The pearl is then allowed to soak in black tea for up to 3 months, taking on its warm tone and allowing the edges of the etched characters to darken and come into focus. 'Om Mani Padme Hum' translates roughly to 'Hail the jewel in the Lotus'. Well loved in Buddhist culture, this mantra can be found inscribed on rocks, roads, paths, mountain passes and the entrances to villages all over Tibet and Nepal. It is commonly believed that one who recites this mantra or keeps it close to them will be protected from misfortune and experience an inner sense of calm.

Use a tape measure or find a strip of paper, ribbon, or cord. Wrap it around your wrist where you would normally wear the bracelet. If you are using a strip of paper, ribbon, or cord, mark the end of the strip and then measure the length against a ruler. This is your wrist size.
